LunarCRUSH’s: Search for Influence

LunarCRUSH is happy to announce the first-ever Search for Influence in partnership with Freehold + Stacks.

Today we begin the search for the Top 30 Influencers for Stacks, and turn them into lifelong holders!

Freehold is a community of cryptocurrency stakeholders focused on furthering the reputation, usefulness, and mission of their respective holdings. The Freehold model rewards hodlers who take an active role in educating, building, and growing within their community, and is designed so technical and non-technical holders can become real stakeholders in the rise of a movement. Freehold communities will be built around contributors who hodl cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Stacks (STX), and others.

Stacks makes Bitcoin programmable, enabling decentralized apps and smart contracts that inherit all of Bitcoin’s powers. Their thesis is that successful experiments from various blockchains will eventually get created on Bitcoin and they believe that Bitcoin can be the foundation for a better user-owned internet, much like TCP/IP for the traditional internet.

For the next 7 days, starting now, LunarCRUSH will draw a line in the sand and re-start the clock on tallying Stacks influencers across Twitter. If on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 12pm PT your Twitter Handle is ranked within the Top 30 on the LunarCRUSH Influencer Page for Stacks, guess what?

Ya, ya, get to the important stuff. How are hodlers rewarded?

With Stacks of course! In order to make it fair, because we cannot have Elon taking the cake every week, (did they say every week? 🤩) and not all influencers are created equal…the Top 30 Influencers will be put into the Wheel of Names and the LunarCRUSH + Freehold team will launch a livestream roughly 1-hour after the Search for Influence ends where we can all find out together who’s getting a bag!

At the end of 7 days, the Top 30 Influencers will be put into the Wheel of Names so the largest influencers do not have an unfair advantage.

How do I participate and become a Stacks influencer? First, let us get one thing straight…we are all influencers in our own way! Every time you go home for the holidays and that cryptocurrency conversation starts, because you know it will, and everyone turns to stare…you fly in to rescue and promptly remind everyone you got in so long ago that you do not have time to deal with such things! 😇

How is influence determined?

LunarCRUSH uses a simple yet effective methodology of determining influence to achieve an overall WEIGHTED AVERAGE RANK.

For the Search for Influence event, we will be utilizing the ENGAGEMENT RANK ONLY as the marker for Top 30.

ENGAGEMENT RANK: A scored combination of retweets, comments, and likes on each of your posts.

FOLLOWER RANK: You are ranked against all of Crypto Twitter. Whoever has the highest number of followers and is posting about cryptocurrency, will get the highest rank for that time period.

POST RANK: Consistency matters. The more often you post, the higher your rank. We suggest against spamming, you aren’t smarter than our machine learning models and will be docked for it.

Rules:

1. “The Clock Begins”: Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 12pm PT.
2. “The Clock Ends”: Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 12pm PT.
3. “Posts Tagged” with $stx and #EarnBitcoinwithStacks will automatically count towards your influence and ranking.
4. You must be one of the top thirty handles listed on the LunarCRUSH Influencer Page for Stacks, sorted by Engagement, when The Clock Ends to move on.
5. The Top 30 Influencers will be put into the Wheel of Names and the selection process will be broadcast live roughly 1-hour after The Clock Ends on LunarCRUSH Live!
6. You must sign-up at: https://joinfreehold.com to receive your Stacks ($stx)!
